ArtReach Residency Program

The Cubberley PTA supplements education provided by San Diego Unified School District by funding our school art program offered by ArtReach San Diego and all necessary supplies.  

ArtReach Teaching Artists enrich the classroom experience for both teacher and student. Students practice artistic skill-building, experiment with a variety of media, and learn local and global art history in a supportive yet challenging environment. Teaching Artists will focus on helping each young artist find their personal artistic voice while learning to grow confident in facing artistic challenges.
 

 Art techniques include drawing, painting, sculpture, fiber art, collage, and printmaking. Classes are grade-specific, standards-based, and further the creative development of each individual student. Programs are customized with Social Emotional Learning (CASEL),IB, STEAM, Arts Integration, Art History, Literacy, Diversity and Inclusion.​

RUNNING CLUB
 

The Cubberley Running Club is a program that takes place every school day from 7:10AM - 7:25AM.  Cubberley PTA provides volunteers to supervise and scan the runners, the tracking software program and (weekly) milestone achievement awards, through our Student Involvement Committee.

Running Club Reports are emailed to parents that opt-in weekly.  Email us below if you would like to receive your student's running club report.

Parents and community members are encouraged to run with the students.  If you would like to join the Cubberley Running Club as a parent please email us below and we will create a scanning card for you.

FIELD TRIPS

Cubberley PTA provides two school buses or equal value cost of admission per classroom each school year to enrich our students learning experiences.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

The Cubberley PTA organizes after school community events that include Family Dine-Outs, Movie Nights, Trunk or Treat, School Dances, Winter Holiday Program, and more.

HOSPITALITY

We love our teachers and staff at Cubberley!

Teachers and staff who receive more recognition and praise are more productive, more engaged, and more likely to stay with their school. Teacher Appreciation Week is the first week in May, where staff are showered with snacks, treats, meals, and gifts!  

YEARBOOK

Yearbooks are permanent keepsakes.  Students will flip through the printed pages of their yearbooks, ask friends and teachers for autographs and to share stories.  The Cubberley PTA members take photos and design a professional quality yearbook for a small fee.  Keep a eye out for the yearbook order link to pre-order.
